Billy Corgan came on Triple J today and played 5 songs that “makes him feel happy” including the David Bowie track Space Oddity which the Pumpkins are currently playing on tour.
He started by talking about how the band members are coming from being fans and have different favorite tracks they would like to play. So the setlist are a curation from the whole band.
Billy gave a bit of history lesson in music starting with Yes and UFO calling them “super groups”. To which the DJ pointed out Zwan as a “super group” and how she liked David Pajo. Billy called Zwan a “super group of addicts” and that he isn’t a big fan of David Pajo and he chose to keep his mouth shut rather than sharing what a terrible person David really is. Billy continued to say he believes this will be the last line-up / band he will ever be in. He went on to say how lucky he is because they are all great people.
He went on to say he doesn’t have a problem with the holographic technology that brought 2Pac back on stage.
